The Cairo High School Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted Nyasha Howard, Chassidy Johnson, Jamaal Jones, Montyana McGowan, Domarion Nunez, and Yakira Vaughn on April 25, 2024. The new members were inducted during a candle lighting ceremony on April 25th in the Cairo High School Library. The National Honor Society is the highest academic organization and distinction that can be awarded to any Cairo High School student. Students must have maintained a 3.5 cumulative average on or after a student’s fifth semester to be eligible for application into the high society.
