Here are our MAP score average results, compared to last year's Fall term, and the national norms for a fall term, for Reading and Math.

On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, Cairo School District #1 students along with CES teacher Kathryn Meyers and Board Members Sonya Taylor and Steve Tarver attended State Senator Dale Fowler's Student Advisory Council in Marion, Illinois. The students listened to several guest speakers addressing the topic of leadership and engaged in many informative discussions. Way to go!

Students in grades 3-6 voted. There were 8 candidates: My'Leigha O., Shelonda J., D'Ava J., Victoria T., Dante H., Keyon M, Kitley C, and Syntell H. Elijah W. and Bryson were the moderators.

Selected to represent Cairo Elementary School are: My'Leigha-President, D'Ava - VP, Kitley C-Secretary, Syntell -Treasurer, Keyon - Media Rep, Dante - Sergeant at Arms.

They are helping with a food drive to collect food donations for the Arrowleaf Pantry.
