We apologize for the repeated messages this morning. Today's school closing status is as follows. Pre-K will be closed today. Grades kindergarten through 6th grade will report to class this morning. School is cancelled for grades 7 through 12, due to a power outage. Junior Senior high school staff will be working remotely today. Also the special board meeting tonight will be cancelled due to the power outage.

Dear Cairo Family,

On behalf of myself, the staff and School Board of Cairo SD #1 we mourn the loss of Board Member Mr. Rodney Moore. It is with a heavy heart we send our condolences to express our sympathy. Often, in our time of loss, our minds are perplexed with feelings of confusion, guilt and sorrow. Despite the fact that our hearts are weighed down by these feelings, we take comfort in the fact that Mr. Moore’s spirit will continue to live on through all the lives touched by him. To know Mr. Rodney Moore is to love him.

On Friday, September 9, 2022 at 10:30 at Cairo Jr./Sr. High School, we will have a balloon launch in Mr. Moore’s memory. We extend an invitation for you to join us on this day.
